In the Shadows VI | The Mercy Seat After the priest stepped through the veil, he entered the last stage of the Tabernacle: the Holy of Holies. There he would sprinkle blood from the sacrifice onto the Mercy Seat—representing the covering of the people's sins by innocent blood. Jesus is the fulfillment of those rituals, as His innocent blood covered our sins once and for all!
