God made many promises to His people. We often think that if we just believe, our life will suddenly be full of ease and devoid of struggle. Though we give our hearts and souls to Jesus, heartache and pain continue, and we rarely find what mankind calls true happiness. In the Bible, we are promised joy, but joy isn’t measured by how your life unfolds; instead, it is how you view your life.

Mark’s story is a picture of how one can find joy even when happiness is fleeting.
