LIFT Food Delivery Outreach

November 14 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Please join us at Connection Point Church as we partner with Convoy of Hope and a dozen area churches to deliver food, snacks, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and share the love of Jesus with more than 1,400 people throughout Southeast Missouri. All events will take place at CPC, and all events and volunteer needs are family friendly.

You’ll receive detailed information prior to each event, but questions ahead of time can be directed to Chad Craft (573–837–8687).

November 9: Offload Semi-Truck
12 volunteers needed from approximately 9-11 am on Monday to offload 30-36 pallets utilizing a forklift and pallet jacks. The exact time is determined by when the Convoy of Hope semi truck driver leaves the Springfield, MO warehouse. Convoy will call Chad who will then call/text individual volunteers.

November 10: Assemble Boxes
18 volunteers needed from 10 am-12 pm on Tuesday to tape 400 cardboard boxes to be used for family food bundles. All needed supplies are provided, and this event allows volunteers to remain seated.

November 11: Break Down Pallets & Build Bundles
30 adult volunteers needed from 6-8:30 pm on Wednesday to support 100 students who will break down pallets and build family bundles. Pizza and drinks are provided.

Adult volunteers will help break down pallets, conduct oversight, and help with quality control as the family bundles are built by over 100 student/youth volunteers.

November 14: Load Vehicles, Deliver Bundles & Clean Up
200 volunteers needed from 9-11:30 am on Saturday for various roles, specifically delivering bundles to area homes. Volunteers can help in more than one area, but should sign up for each event individually.

•Loading vehicles: 30 volunteers needed to load family bundles into volunteer’s vehicles. Each individual family bundle is comprised of two 16x18x18 boxes that will be stacked throughout the church building. Bring a dolly and/or wagon if you have one. *Note that bundles are heavy*

•Driving and delivering: 150 volunteers needed to drive and deliver family bundles. Each family bundle consists of two 16x18x18 boxes with delivery addresses taped on the tops that are spread across Bollinger, Cape, Perry, and Scott counties. Volunteers pick the geographical areas they’d like to deliver to, and for the most part, each vehicle will deliver to 1-3 addresses.

•Cleaning up the host site church: 10 volunteers needed to clean up the host site church so it’s ready for Sunday services. We’ll sweep/vacuum, mop as needed, wipe down bathrooms, take out all trash, and put out chairs. All needed supplies are provided.
