LIFT Food Delivery Outreach

LIFT, an outreach of CPC, will be partnering with Convoy of Hope and volunteers from a dozen area churches to deliver hundreds of food and hygiene bundles (with bibles) to local families! And we need your help! We need about 180 drivers to deliver the bundles on Saturday, June 28, as well as a few folks for various roles throughout the week. Help spread the love of Jesus to our community!

*The CPC Jackson campus will be the location of this event, but 40 Bollinger County area bundles will be packed and delivered directly from the CPC BOCO campus.*

June 23: OFFLOAD SEMI-TRUCK (12 needed)
12 volunteers needed for 1.5 hours from approximately 11 am-12:30 pm. The exact time will be determined by when the Convoy of Hope driver leaves the warehouse. Convoy will call Chad who will then call/text individual volunteers.

Volunteers will meet at the CPC Jackson entrance and receive further information from Chad Craft who can be reached at 573–837–8687.

Convoy of Hope will send a semi truck from Springfield, Missouri to CPC Jackson containing 30-36 pallets. Volunteers will use a forklift and pallet jacks to unload the pallets and place them inside the church.

June 24: ASSEMBLE BOXES (12 needed)
12 volunteers needed from 10 am-noon to tape 360-400 boxes to be used for packing family bundles.

Volunteers will meet at the CPC Jackson entrance and receive further information from Chad Craft who can be reached at 573–837–8687.

June 25: BREAK DOWN PALLETS (35 needed)
•30 adult volunteers needed from 6:15-9:00 pm to support 130 students/youth (from CPC and partner churches) who’ll break down pallets into family bundles. 5 adults will be needed at the BOCO campus.

Volunteers will meet at the CPC Jackson worship center and receive further information from Chad Craft who can be reached at 573–837–8687.

Student/youth volunteers will break down bulk food, snacks, drinks, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies into 200 individual family bundles. Adult volunteers will help break down pallets, conduct event oversight, and quality control as the family bundles are being built. Additionally, volunteers will build some bulk distribution stacks that’ll go to another 200 people.

•5 adult volunteers needed to meet at the CPC BOCO worship center from 6-8 pm. They will receive further instructions from Graesen Meystedt.

June 28: LOAD VEHICLES, DELIVER & CLEAN UP (220 needed)
A total of 220 volunteers needed from 9-11:30 am as we deliver family bundles to area homes. *Note that bundles are heavy*

•180 people to drive (160 for Jackson Campus, 20 for BOCO Campus)
•30 people to load
•10 people to clean up

Volunteers will meet at the CPC Jackson worship center and receive further information from Chad Craft who can be reached at 573–837–8687. Drivers wanting to deliver to the Bollinger County area will meet at the CPC BOCO campus and will receive further information from Graesen Meystedt.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks and can help in more than one area (but should sign up for each area individually).

•Loading vehicles: Need 30 volunteers to load family bundles into volunteers’ vehicles. The individual family bundles will be stacked throughout the church building and another 90-100 items will be stacked in bulk for additional distribution. The individual bundles are contained in two boxes that are 16x18x18 each. Bring a dolly and/or wagon if you have one.

•Driving and delivering to homes: Need 160 volunteers to drive and help deliver individual family bundles (20 for Bollinger Campus). The individual bundles are contained in two boxes that are 16x18x18 each. Volunteers will receive the delivery addresses that are spread across Bollinger, Cape, Perry, and Scott counties. We do our best to let volunteers pick the geographical areas they’d like to deliver to. For the most part, each vehicle will deliver bundles to 1-3 addresses (depending on the number of volunteers).

•Cleaning up the host site church: We need 10 volunteers to help clean up and make sure the host site is ready for worship services on Sunday. We’ll stack pallets by the road, sweep/vacuum, mop as needed, wipe down bathrooms, take out all trash, and put out chairs.
