LIFT Food Delivery Outreach

LIFT, an outreach of CPC, will be delivering hundreds of food & hygiene bundles (with bibles) to local families! And we need your help! There will be over two hundred positions to fill over three days between September 9 through September 14. Help us spread the love of Jesus to our community!

September 9 or 10: OFFLOAD SEMI-TRUCK (10 needed)
10 volunteers needed for 1.5 hours from approximately 11 am-12:30 pm. The exact day/time will be determined by when the Convoy of Hope driver leaves the warehouse. Convoy will call Chad Craft (573–837–8687) who will inform individual volunteers.

Convoy of Hope will send a semi-truck from Springfield, Missouri to Connection Point Church (CPC) containing 30 to 36 pallets.

Volunteers will meet at CPC’s main entrance, and receive further information from Chad. Volunteers will use a forklift and pallet jacks to unload the pallets and place them inside the church.

September 11: BREAK DOWN PALLETS (25 needed)
25 adult volunteers needed from 6-8:30 pm to support 100 youth (from CPC & multiple AoG churches) who’ll be breaking down pallets into family bundles.

Volunteers will meet at the CPC main entrance, and receive further information from Pastor Darren DeLoach, youth leaders, and Chad Craft (573–837–8687).

Youth volunteers will break down the palletized food, snacks, drinks, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies into approximately 160 individual family bundles. Adult volunteers will help break down pallets, conduct event oversight, and help with quality control as the family bundles are being built. Additionally, youth and adult volunteers will build some bulk distribution stacks that will go to approximately another 90–100 area folks.

September 14: LOAD CARS, DELIVER & CLEAN UP (200 needed)
200 volunteers needed from 9-11:30 am.

Volunteers will meet at the CPC main entrance, and receive further information from Chad Craft (573–837–8687).

Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks and can help in more than one area, but should sign up for each area individually.

•Loading vehicles: Need 40 volunteers to load the family bundles into volunteers’ vehicles. The individual family bundles will be stacked throughout the church building, and another 90-100 items will be stacked in bulk for additional distribution. The individual bundles are approximately 3′ x 3′ x 3′ in size including several large boxes and individual items. Bring a dolly and/or wagon if you have one.

•Driving and delivering to homes: Need 150 volunteers to drive and help deliver individual family bundles. Volunteers will receive the delivery addresses which will be spread across Bollinger, Cape, Perry, and Scott counties. We do our best to let volunteers pick the geographical areas that they’d like to deliver to. For the most part, vehicles will deliver bundles to 1-3 addresses (depending on the number of volunteers).

•Cleaning up the host site church: We need 10 volunteers to help clean up and make sure the host site is ready for worship service on Sunday. We’ll stack pallets by the road, sweep/vacuum, mop as needed, wipe down bathrooms, take out all trash, and put out chairs.
