Summer Serve is here!

We kicked off the season by packing over 35,000 rice meals!
Those meals will be sent around the world to families in need!

Food Drive Challenge

June 2-July 21

We will be collecting food items for the Jackson and Marble Hill Food Pantries, organizations that provide food and supplies to those in need in our community, and we need your help! We challenge each person in your household to bring one shelf-stable food item per week from June 2 through July 21. There will be a display in the west side of the lobby to place your donations.

Needed Food Items:

•Hot or cold cereal
•Mixed vegetable, beef, and other soups
•Boxed mashed potatoes
•Saltine crackers
•Cranberry juice
•Hamburger Helper skillet dinners
•Mac & cheese
•Canned potatoes and peas
•Personal hygiene items (soap bars, toothpaste, toothbrushes)

*Any non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated.
*You are not limited to one item per person. Give as much as you like!

First Responders Meal

July 13, 8 am-8 pm

Connection Point Church will host a special event to honor and feed all first responders in the area. This gathering aims to celebrate the dedication and sacrifices made by these brave men and women. While our gesture may be small, we hope it conveys our deep appreciation and gratitude for their unwavering service to our community. Join us as we come together to recognize and thank our local heroes.

First responders: this is a twelve hour event, so you are free to stop by CPC at any time and pick up your meal!

Teachers and Staff Appreciation

August

Show your appreciation for local teachers and school staff by writing encouragement cards and creating goodie baskets. Card writing stations will be available every Sunday in August. Please have everything delivered to CPC by August 25.

More ways you (or your small group) can get involved and make a positive impact in our community:

•Sponsor a teacher (or classroom) and provide needed items
•Clean up parks
•Mow lawns in your neighborhood
•Check-in with your elderly neighbors
•Make hygiene bags for the homeless
•Host a baby shower for a mom in need through Options for Women
•Have kids color pictures for those in nursing homes
•Write encouraging letters to first responders

Consider volunteering at various organizations:

LIFT: Participate in local outreach projects
Hospitals: Offer support to patients and staff
Nursing Homes: Engage in activities like reading, playing games & spending quality time
Habitat for Humanity: Help build homes for those in need
City Parks and Rec Departments: Assist with community events and maintenance

Thank you for being dedicated
to serving our community and
spreading the love of Jesus!
